Workplace problems are rarely operational. They are relational.

Dr. Abigail Silva is a Workplace Relationship Specialist who helps organizations repair relational breakdown, strengthen leadership alignment, and build cultures where people work and relate well.

Workplace Dynamics

Workplace challenges are often rooted in underlying relationship dynamics. By understanding how people connect, communicate, and respond to one another, organizations can begin to reduce conflict and create more effective teams.

Using a corporate attachment approach, we help leaders and organizations gain clarity, strengthen relationships, and improve overall performance. The goal is simple: build workplaces that function better together.

Attachment Styles

Avoidant

Avoidantly coded individuals are highly protective of their autonomy and resist micromanagement, often interpreting it as criticism or inadequacy. They tend to withdraw when pursued relationally and prefer closeness on their own terms. Typically self-directed high achievers, they can appear as “lone rangers” in the workplace—sometimes intimidating to colleagues. They thrive with minimal oversight and occasional affirming check-ins, though their independence can sometimes lead to reduced accountability.

Anxious

Anxiously coded individuals are highly sensitive to relational stress and strongly pursue connection to avoid the distress of disconnection. This can appear needy or exhausting, but it is often an instinctive response to separation anxiety. They value frequent reassurance and check-ins, yet their sensitivity also helps them notice when others on the team feel disconnected.

Attachment Styles

Secure

Securely coded individuals manage emotions well, take healthy risks, and respond with emotional awareness and stability. They naturally navigate different relational styles, act as collaborators and conflict diffusers, and often serve as the visible and invisible stabilizers within teams.

Disorganized

Disorganized coded individuals often carry deep relational trauma and perceive relationships as unsafe. Relational exposure can trigger withdrawal, invisibility, and strong self-protective behaviors. They tend to work best independently, prefer limited contact, and may isolate due to fractured self-worth and a fear of rejection.
