Leadership Management in Langley

I coach and support leaders to develop a culture of safety and belonging for their employees. Leaders learn to set healthy expectations using care and accountability to build safe and trusting relationships with their teams. They gain insight into personal barriers to connecting safely with others and then learn effective ways to override their avoidant or anxious strategies to better support engagement and productivity in their organizations.

Relational health in organizations is often considered to be “soft stuff.” Soft tissues in the body work to support and stabilize critical infrastructure – all internal organs, such as bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons, blood vessels, and so much more, rely on the practical function of soft tissues. Many organizations live with unaddressed soft tissue damage and focus their efforts on restructuring instead. They experience little transformation or stability. Often these fruitless attempts exacerbate relational injuries and further destabilize organizations.

Most companies undervalue human resources. Relational reset requires skill, energy, and attuned and responsive leadership. Through leadership support that leaders experience by mentoring and coaching, they learn to prioritize, value, and leverage the power of connection. In so doing, they share the wisdom conferred on us by Nick Zeniuk, “If you take care of the soft stuff, the hard stuff will take care of itself.”

In her candid way, Abby Silva activates and challenges leaders to understand their human need for connection and become safe people for their people.
